Climate Change Adaptation Planning - A Handbook with Examples from Arctic Protected Areas
This handbook documents the capacity building within the CLAP Climate Adaptation project, for future use by managers of protected areas and others interested in climate change adaptation planning in protected areas.
The handbook focuses on scenario-based climate change adaptation planning as a means to address climate uncertainty. Five pilot planning processes in five Arctic protected areas in northern Norway, Sweden and Finland are presented, including key learnings and advice for future work. The handbook also includes a description of a training course which was developed during the CLAP-project with the help of the U.S. National Park Service.
