Apply for a veterinarian for competitions
If you arrange certain types of competitions where animals are involved, then you are responsible for ensuring that there is a competition veterinarian present. You apply for a competition veterinarian through the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
When you arrange a public competition, the presence of a competition veterinarian is often a requirement. The veterinarian's responsibility is to monitor animal welfare during the entire event. They must also inspect the animals and competition area before the competition starts.
