The County Administrative Board issues the county statutes that contain both provisions which we have adopted and certain regulations issued by the municipalities and the former authority of the Swedish National Road Administration.

The statutes are rules of law that count as regulations, which means they are not addressed to any particular person but to the public. Local provisions include decisions regarding water protection, nature reserves, shipping and elk hunting.

The statute is published in order to make it available to the general public. It then receives a serial number, and we send copies to, inter alia, other municipalities in the county and the municipal library.
